Hello and welcome to some good news. Since being admited into hospital, I have got to know some of the porters quite well. A mobility scooter is advertised for the use of patients but I found out it hadn't been used since July 07, so I talked one of the porters into finding it. After a few days if told me he had found it but it didn't work as the key was lost. On Christmas Eve he turned up on the ward with a wheelchair and I was told I had to go with him. We ended up at the main enterance and there was the scooter. I was wished Happy Christmas and told I could take it up to the ward and keep it there until I was discharged. Life has been much easier since then especially to get outside for fresh air and a smoke. Two nights left to in before my early discharge on Monday.
Now that's a bit of luck, finding out about the scooter. I wonder why no one else has been using it? Seems such a waste.
ReplyDeleteYou'll be home on Monday... I am sorry we haven't been able to get down to visit you in the hospital... It's all my fault. Usual problems. But I am so glad we've kept in touch by phone.
What does the doctor call you? His Myrical Patient.
Wow, Barry, what a stroke of luck. You look very dapper on it and what a joy to be able to have a fag outside. I cannot believe you are going home on Monday. Pen.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow you are home ... what great news Barry !
ReplyDeleteGive me a ring when you get settled back in.
